About our classes

NIJI-PRO (youth, 6 YEARS OLD and older)

  • Niji-pro students pay at the first class of the month

    • If student takes 1 class per week: $15 per class times the number of classes taken in the month.

    • If student takes more than 1 class per week: $12 per class times the number of classes taken in the month.

    • Additional $2 per class for drop-ins.

    • Entry fees for Onyx Competition and NDS Recital are not included and are paid separately.

  • No refunds or make-up classes offered

  • Classes meet at Li’s Wu Shu Academy

  • Classes meet once per week and are selected from the following

    • Jazz - Wednesdays or Fridays or Saturdays 4:00 PM - 4:45 PM

    • Intermediate Jazz - Mondays 4:00–5:00pm, starting on 8/26!

    • HipHop - Wednesdays or Fridays 5:00 PM - 5:45 PM

    • Intermediate HipHop - Wednesdays or Fridays 5:45 PM - 6:30 PM

    • Boys HipHop - Fridays 6:30 PM - 7:15 PM


Summer CampS in June (Youth)

  • Two, three-day summer camps are offered over the period of two weeks for
    Niji-pro students, transitioning Nijikko students, and new students.

  • Camps are divided into Jazz (girls only) and HipHop (girls & boys)

  • Classes meet at Li’s Wu Shu Academy

  • Classes are $120 for each three-day camp; if a student takes both camps, cost is $200 ($40 discount). Tuition includes summer camp T-shirts.

  • All students will be divided into groups depending on their skills and will dance together to a summer-camp exclusive song. Students will learn the entire choreography for a song during the three days, performing for parents at the end of the last day. Students will also have a chance to be on stage in August for Kids ‘N Fun Festival held in Cupertino!


NIJIKKO (2-3 YEARS OLD, 4-5 YEARS OLD)

  • Nijikko students may buy a punch card for their classes

  • The punch card does not expire ($150 for ten classes)

  • $17 per class, if no punch card presented (considered a “drop-in”)

  • Classes meet at Japanese Art and Cultural Center

    • 2-3 years old class - Sundays 5:00 PM - 5:30 PM

    • 4-5 years old class - Sundays 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM


Dress code & Costumes

Jazz class students - jazz or yoga pants (elastic waist, bell bottoms), leotard or basic t-shirt and black, jazz shoes. No skirts allowed

HipHop students - tight fitted top or t-shirt, jazz pants, loose jeans or any cargo pants (pants must not touch the floor), black hip-hop shoes . No skirts allowed

Purchase of costumes are required for all Nijikko and Niji-pro students. Costumes are used throughout the entire year and are purchased at the following times:

  • Niji-pro Jazz and Nijikko (Spring)

  • Niji-pro HipHop (Fall)

Costumes range from $60-$100 (approximately)
