For Niji-pro students, what is the dress-code policy?

A:

Jazz class students - jazz or yoga pants (elastic waist, bell bottoms), leotard or basic t-shirt and black, jazz shoes. No skirts allowed

HipHop students - tight fitted top or t-shirt, jazz pants, loose jeans or any cargo pants (pants must not touch the floor), black hip-hop shoes . No skirts allowed


When do I purchase costumes and how much are they?

Q:

Purchase of costumes are required for all Nijikko and Niji-pro students. Costumes are used throughout the entire year and are purchased at the following times:

  • Niji-pro Jazz and Nijikko (Spring)

  • Niji-pro HipHop (Fall)

  • Costumes range from $60-$100 (approximately)

What is the cost for Nijikko classes?

Nijikko students utilize a punch card system where they pay $150 for ten classes OR they pay $17 per class as a “drop-in”

When do you pay for Niji-pro classes and what is the cost?

Q:

Niji-pro students pay at the first class of each month. If the student takes one class per week, it’s $15 times the number of classes the student wishes to take the class that month. If the student takes more than one class per week, it’s $12 times the number of classes the student wishes to take those classes that month.

What are the costs for Adult classes (Jazz/HipHop/AzuLatin/Azumba/Beautiful Movement Fitness)

How much are the summer camps (Jazz and HipHop)?

Q:

Camps are $120 for each three-day session. If a student takes both camps, the total costs is $200 ($40 discount). The tuition includes summer camp T-shirts.

How much are private lessons (solo classes) per hour?

Q:

For a single dancer, the cost is $120 ($65 choreography cost + $55 studio rental fee). For a team, the individual cost depends on the number of team members ($65 per person choreography cost + $55 divided by the number of team members, studio rental fee)

Are there any other fees?

Q:

Yes. Some competitions and the NDS Recital have a separate entry fee per student that is assessed at the time of the event. This fee is not included and must be paid separately to participate.

When and where are Nijikko (2-3 years old, 4-5 years old) classes?

How may solo classes are available?

Q:

Classes are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Classes are only available before the NDS Recital and interested students are strongly encouraged to contact Azusa as soon as possible. There are 15 spots available. Each spot will receive one hour but can purchase more hour sessions at the going rate.

When and what is the rehearsal policy for shows?

Q:

Rehearsals are always held on the preceding Wednesday or Friday of the show (usually held Saturday or Sunday). Students must attend at least one, if not all rehearsals to be part of the show.

What is the general code of conduct for students?

Q:

All students are expected to come to class prepared to listen and act cordially to other dancers. Bullying and distracting behavior will not be tolerated.
